I offer 24-hour emergency service. Call us anytime—day or night—and I'll get your home sealed up ASAP. Usually within a few hours.
We provide installation services throughout all of Idaho, including Boise, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d'Alene, Sun Valley, and everywhere in between. Our 24/7 emergency service is available in the Treasure Valley (Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell area).
Condensation between panes means your window seal has failed. Modern windows have an airtight seal around the insulated glass unit (IGU). When that seal breaks, moisture gets in and you'll see fog or water droplets that you can't wipe away. This cannot be repaired—the entire glass unit needs to be replaced.
In most cases, I can replace just the insulated glass unit (IGU) without replacing the entire window frame. This saves you money and is much less invasive. However, if the frame is damaged, rotted, or outdated, a full window replacement might make more sense. I'll assess your situation and recommend the most cost-effective solution.
In Idaho's climate with our temperature extremes, window seals typically last 15-20 years. Factors like sun exposure, elevation, and window quality affect lifespan. Windows on the south or west side of your home often fail first due to UV exposure and temperature swings.
Yes, I regularly work with insurance companies for storm damage, broken windows, and other covered incidents. I can help you navigate the claims process and provide detailed documentation for your adjuster.
For failed glass unit replacements, it's typically 2-3 weeks to order and install. Full window replacements depend on the scope, but most residential jobs are completed in 1-3 days once windows arrive. Custom work like shower doors can take 3-4 weeks from measurement to installation.
Dual-pane windows have two layers of glass with an insulating gas (usually argon) between them. Triple-pane adds a third layer for even better insulation. For most Idaho homes, dual-pane Low-E windows provide excellent energy efficiency at a reasonable cost. Triple-pane makes sense for extreme climates or if you're looking for maximum noise reduction.
Low-E (low-emissivity) glass has a microscopic coating that reflects heat while allowing light to pass through. In Idaho, I strongly recommend Low-E glass—it keeps your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter, which dramatically reduces energy bills. Most modern replacement windows include Low-E coating as standard.
The moisture trapped between the panes won't cause mold inside your home, but failed seals indicate your window has lost its insulating value. This can lead to condensation on the interior glass, which can cause mold on your windowsills and walls if not addressed.
Yes, I can install windows you've purchased, though I typically recommend letting me source them. I can get quality windows at competitive prices, and I stand behind both the product and installation with comprehensive warranties. If you provide your own windows, I can only warranty the labor.
My installations come with a lifetime warranty against any damages due to the installation for as long as you own your home. The glass units themselves carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 10-20 years depending on the brand). I'll make sure everything is registered and provide you with all warranty documentation.
Yes. I'm an AAMA Certified Master Installer through the American Architectural Manufacturers Association's InstallationMasters program. This certification requires hands-on training and testing on proper installation techniques including flashing, weatherproofing, and sealing. We follow AAMA standards on every installation—which is why our work comes with a lifetime warranty and keeps your manufacturer warranties valid.
Not if done properly. I take great care to preserve your existing trim and minimize disruption. For glass-only replacements, there's typically no interior damage at all. For full-frame replacements, I carefully remove the old window, install the new one, and either reuse or replace trim to match. I always clean up thoroughly when the job is complete.
Absolutely. I work with many older and historic homes in the Boise area. I can match glass types, frame styles, and even custom sizes to maintain the character of your home while upgrading performance. I'm experienced with both modern and traditional glazing techniques.
I work year-round and can install windows in any season. Spring and fall offer the most comfortable working conditions, but Idaho's winter weather doesn't prevent installation—I just work quickly and use protective barriers to keep your home comfortable. Summer and winter are often less busy, so you might get faster scheduling.
Glass shower doors are more durable, easier to clean, and add value to your home compared to shower curtains. They're especially beneficial for smaller bathrooms as they make the space feel larger. If you're selling soon or want a modern, upscale look, I'd definitely recommend glass. Custom frameless or semi-frameless doors are my specialty.
I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment terms are typically 50% down to order materials, with the balance due upon completion.
